The SCSU DailyJolt is a site made for Southern students by Southern students. Tierd of spending countless minutes looking though the SCSU website to get thoe important phone numbers? Hungry and need to know the nearest pizza place? Not sure of which New Haven hotspot you wanna hit tonight? or is it 7:50 p.m. on Saturday night and you forgot where the Liquor store is? We'll we got them all for you right here, and were adding more every day, so keep checking back!
While the SCSU DailyJolt was launched in 2003, the original idea for a Jolt at Southern dates all the way back to 2002.
A few years back, a sophomore at Amherst College named Amit built the first Daily Jolt (then called Amherst Central). He and a few friends found that all of the Amherst-related web sites were created by the school’s administration or, even worse, were cheesy sites created by folks who hadn’t been to a campus in years and had no idea what students needed or wanted. So these little bastards figured they’d change all that.
So are we the only school in New Haven with a Jolt?? Hell No! check out our friends at the Albertus Magnus Daily Jolt.
